EGL Working Tank Replacement
Major steel producer relies on McGraw/Kokosing to perform time critical Electrolytic Galvanizing Working Tank Replacement. Electrolytic Galvanizing produces one of the highest quality electro-galvanized steel strips.
McGraw Kokosing performed the removal and installation of four 40,000 gallon epoxy coated, rubber lined, steel tanks.
Due to the complex location of the existing tanks, tank removal and installation was facilitated by utilizing a specialized jack and slide system. Modifications to the existing building structures was also required, which included – removal and install of over 15 tons of structural steel, piping modification and installation, foundation removal and installation.
McGraw Kokosing successfully executed this project by providing Project Management and Multi-Craft Skilled Labor Crews (Pipefitters, Ironworkers, Carpenters, Laborers, and Operators). We completed the work ahead of the 6 week, around the clock schedule, working over 34,000 safe man-hours.
